The design was inspired by nights camping on Lopez Island in the San Juans, watching seals hunt at dusk in the waters of the Puget Sound. The idea was to showcase the natural beauty of REI’s Pacific Northwest roots, while also highlighting the starry skies and cosmic wonder that belongs to all of us.
